PROGRAMMES

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Since its inception in 2019, the Foundation has provided scholarships to eight students in Steenberg High School, Cape Town and Waverley Girls High, Johannesburg, with each scholarship being a five-year commitment.

STEENBERG HIGH

Steenberg High School is located in Steenberg, a close-knit community in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Steenberg faces challenges related to gang activity, where the safety of children during their daily journey to school is a concerning issue. In 2020, the Foundation awarded 5-year scholarships to 5 scholars who entered their matric year in January 2024.

WAVERLEY GIRLS

Waverley Girls' High, an all-girls school, founded in 1953, is located in the affluent area of Waverley in Johannesburg. Despite this location, the majority of the school is made up of girls travelling from Alexandra Township. In 2022, the Foundation awarded 5-year scholarships to 3 scholars who entered their grade 10 year in January 2024.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

Each scholarship recipient is given a mentor to join them on their five-year high-school journey. In addition to the social bonding events included in the program, the mentor serves as an ongoing resource for scholars. It is through this program that the Foundation is able to monitor the progress of our scholars and provide them with assistance and support as soon as the need arises.
